Adventure Level
Adventure Level is a crucial aspect in Archero that determines your progression and rewards. You can find your Adventure Level in the top-left corner of the screen, indicated by a blue badge and a progress bar. By actively participating in the game, you earn XP points that automatically fill the progress bar. Additionally, you can acquire Adventure XP through the Hero Patrol rewards, granting you 1 XP point per minute.
Your Adventure Level not only influences the number of talent upgrades available to you (explained further below), but also grants you Gems as a reward for each level up. The beauty of this system is that you earn XP points regardless of whether you successfully complete a level or not.
Energy Bar
The Energy bar in Archero is the second item displayed at the top, next to the Adventure Level. It indicates the number of times you can play the game before needing to wait for it to recharge.
When you begin a game, it consumes 5 Energy points, and it takes 1 hour to regain 5 points. Alternatively, you can acquire 1 Energy every 12 minutes. Additionally, Energy can be used to enhance the Hero Patrol’s Extra Earnings feature, which provides daily passive rewards. By spending up to 40 Energy, you can obtain 4 additional rewards.
If your energy levels are running low and you don’t want to wait, you have two options. You can purchase Energy refills using Gems or watch up to 4 video ads per day to receive 5 Energy for each ad watched.
Coins
Moving on, we come to Coins, which are positioned between the Energy Bar and Gems at the top of the screen. This currency serves various purposes, such as upgrading your heroes and their equipment, as well as improving talents. In Archero, you can obtain coins from the Daily Login Gift, Daily Quests, completing chapters, Hero Patrol, and events.
Gems
Gems hold significant value as a premium currency in Archero, allowing you to make a wide range of purchases within the game. They can be used to buy energy refills, items from the store, new heroes, revivals during battles, event runs, chest rolls, and abilities from vendors during battles, among other options.
You can acquire gems through multiple means in the game as well. Daily logins, daily quests, achievements, increasing your Adventure level, and more offer opportunities to earn Gems.
Combat
The combat mechanics in Archero are fairly straightforward. You control your hero using the on-screen joystick, while they automatically shoot with different weapons and abilities. Your success in battles relies on three key factors: the chosen hero and their level, the selected equipment and its power, and the abilities you have chosen.
NPCs
As you progress through the chapters, you will encounter four types of NPCs: an Angel, a Devil, a Mysterious Vendor, and a Master.
The Angel NPC appears every 5 levels of a chapter and usually offers you two different abilities—one for offense and one for healing or HP boost. The Devil only appears if you manage to defeat a boss without taking any damage. He presents you with a special ability, such as walking on water, passing through walls, or an extra life, at the cost of a certain percentage of your HP. The Mysterious Vendor provides various items available for purchase with Gems or Coins. The vendor often offers attractive discounts on items, including gear or gear scrolls, Sapphires, items, and Energy. Lastly, we have the Master NPC, who offers certain abilities or boosts in exchange for watching a short ad. It is advisable to take advantage of this NPC considering the rewards that can be obtained.
Abilities
At the beginning of each chapter and each time you level up your experience bar during a chapter, abilities will appear. Selecting the best Archero abilities is crucial for increasing your chances of completing a chapter successfully, as they serve as your most valuable assets in combat.
The Shop Tab
Within the Shop page, you can find various premium packs and a few free rewards. This section offers daily deals, special offers, and different ways to spend your Gems. The most notable part of this page is the Chests section.There are two types of chests available for obtaining equipment for your heroes. The first is the Golden Chest, which provides a chance to obtain Common or Great equipment. A single Golden Chest costs 60 Gems, but you can make one free draw each day by watching a short ad. Next, we have the Obsidian Chest, offering the opportunity to obtain Great, Rare, or Epic equipment. One chest is priced at 300 Gems, but you can also receive one free chest per week by watching an ad. Opening seven Obsidian chests guarantees you an epic piece of equipment. However, to enhance your chances of acquiring Epic items, it is advisable to purchase these chests in groups of 10, as this option below the two chests offers a discounted price in Gems.
Upgrading Archero Heroes
To enhance your Archero heroes, you’ll need Coins and Sapphires, a special material obtainable from Hero Patrols, consecutive daily login rewards, completing chapters, events, and Contract Quests on Atreus’ Treasure Map. Once you possess the necessary items, a green arrow pointing upwards will appear above the “Change Hero” button on the Equipment page. Clicking this button will take you to the hero’s page, where you can increase their level. This boosts their stats and unlocks new abilities, making them formidable assets in battles.
Acquiring Archero Heroes
If you’re dissatisfied with the performance of your current hero, particularly if you have Atreus, the default and weakest hero in Archero, you have multiple options to obtain new heroes. You can spend Gems, real money, or collect hero shards.
Each hero can be unlocked using only one of these methods. Additionally, heroes come with a default ability (except for Atreus) that can aid you in battles, so it’s advisable to examine their abilities before making a decision.
Obtaining New Archero Heroes
You also have the opportunity to unlock hero Outfits using Coupons, which provide additional stats and bonuses. The initial stats of a hero outfit are automatically applied when starting a chapter.
The second level of stats, once unlocked, applies to all your heroes, regardless of which hero or outfit you use in battle. Unlocking the second level of hero outfit stats requires either a hero level of 30 or 50 and offers significant power. Therefore, it’s essential to collect enough shards and utilize them wisely.
