How to Unlock the Final Weapon in Granblue Fantasy: Relink

Unlock Proud Difficulty

First things first, you’ve got to ascend to the Proud difficulty rank. Achieving this milestone involves completing some noteworthy quests, including the occasional rank-up mission. Brace yourself, though; facing off against Bahamut Versa in an underpowered group is no cakewalk.

Complete Every Proud Quest

Once you’ve conquered Proud difficulty, there’s no room for slacking. You need to tackle all 18 quests at this level, excluding The Final Report, which is a real test of your skills. The list of quests includes challenges like Blazing Trial, Grounded Trial, and Banquet of Ice and Corpses. Be prepared for a demanding journey.

Here are all the Proud Quests:

  • The Final Report
  • Blazing Trial
  • Grounded Trial
  • Stormy Trial
  • Frigid Trial
  • Worst Vacation Ever
  • Trade Barriers
  • Melting Pot of Hostility
  • Banquet of Ice and Corpses
  • For a Freer Folca
  • A Quest of Fire and Earth
  • A Quest of Frost and Storm
  • The Wolf and the Veil
  • Calamity Incarnate
  • As Fierce as the Silver Wolf
  • Memories of Fire
  • Thunderbolts and Lightning
  • Into the Abyss
  • The Automagod Strikes Back

Defeating Proto Bahamut

After conquering the quests, a new challenge emerges – The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage. This fight, inspired by the prologue, demands more than the average skirmish.

Phase One (100 percent Health)

The initial phase introduces mechanics involving Proto Bahamut summoning orbs. Your task is to shoot these orbs with cannons. The AI proves surprisingly adept at handling this, but it’s wise to lend a hand. Destroy the orbs or focus on damaging Proto Bahamut. Stun the boss with enough hits or damage to conclude the attack.

Phase Two (80 percent Health)

A colossal laser marks the beginning of the second phase. Dodge it by running to the side, and the rest is akin to the first phase but with added ship-grabbing elements. Utilize the Link, Skybound Arts (SBA), Slow rotation for efficient Proto Bahamut health reduction.

Phase Three (50 percent Health)

Phase three kicks off with Supernova, a move involving purple circles, targeted individuals, and laser attacks. Adapt your strategy to survive the laser and tackle the new challenges – Proto Bahamut’s laser attack and a golden orb assault.

Last Stand (15 percent Health)

In the final stretch, Proto Bahamut becomes immune to Slow. Consider a strategic SBA usage before Last Stand to potentially cheese the fight.

Getting the Weapon

Post-victory, there’s a chance the final weapon drops. While the initial drop rate might seem promising, it tends to level out with more runs.

Is the Weapon Even Worth it?

Absolutely. These weapons, armed with Catastrophe, are a long-term investment for any dedicated player. Not only do they pack a punch, but they also synergize seamlessly with Tyranny, the crown jewel of attack skills in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Gear up and conquer!
