Where is Power of Wishes

You have reviewed our Power of Wishes Tier List. So, what is this Power of Wishes, and why do we want to explain them?

The “Power of Wishes” in the anime “Dragon Ball Z” is a concept that revolves around the use of magical spheres called Dragon Balls. Dragon Balls are objects composed of seven crystal spheres found on Earth and other planets. When these spheres are collected and brought together, they can summon a being known as the Dragon God.

The Dragon God, named Shenron, utilizes powerful magic to grant the wish of a person who recites a specific set of words. When the Dragon Balls are gathered, Shenron appears to fulfill the wish. Wishes made with the Dragon Balls generally have significant effects, such as resurrection, bringing back the dead, power enhancement, or resolving world-related issues.

Main characters like Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and others gather the Dragon Balls and summon the Dragon God Shenron to make their wishes come true. These wishes often involve defeating villains or resolving situations that threaten the world.

The “Power of Wishes” is considered a potent element in the “Dragon Ball Z” universe and plays a significant role in the progression of the story.

Dragon Ball Z Main Characters

Son Goku

Son Goku (孫悟空, Son Gokū), initially portrayed as a young boy, possesses incredible strength, a pure heart, and an unwavering competitive spirit. He is unwavering in his mission to protect Earth from both internal and external dangers. While he may seem human, Goku is, in fact, a Saiyan named Kakarrot, as later unveiled.

Bulma (ブルマ, Buruma) initially appears as a teenage genius, wielding the Dragon Radar—a device she invented to detect the energy emitted by Dragon Balls. Drawn to Goku’s location by the signal of his four-star ball, she recruits him as her bodyguard, hoping to obtain the ball to fulfill her wish for a boyfriend. However, upon meeting Yamcha, she abandons this wish. Later in the series, Bulma ties the knot with Vegeta.

Bulma also plays a crucial role as an inventor, consistently providing technological support to Goku and his friends in their battles against various adversaries. Among her notable creations are a shrinking microband and a time machine that brings her son Trunks from an alternate future timeline to the past. Her resourcefulness and inventions prove vital in their quest to protect the world.

Krillin (クリリン, Kuririn) is a bald martial artist who serves as one of Goku’s closest friends and classmates. Together, they train under the guidance of Master Roshi, initially starting as rivals but quickly forming a deep bond of friendship. Krillin becomes an unwavering companion, accompanying Goku on numerous adventures.

Tragically, Krillin falls victim to the spawn of King Piccolo, Tambourine, resulting in his untimely death. However, his life is ultimately restored through the power of the wish-granting dragon Shenron. Determined to protect his friends and the world, Krillin embarks on a journey to Planet Namek, where he valiantly battles against the tyrant Frieza, eventually meeting his demise.

Once again, through the benevolence of the Namekian Dragon Balls, Krillin is resurrected, ready to contribute during the Android and Cell arcs. He displays his unwavering bravery and loyalty as he fights alongside his comrades to safeguard Earth.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Krillin forms a deep bond with Android 18, eventually marrying her. They are blessed with a daughter named Marron (マーロン, Māron), creating a loving family unit amidst the chaos of their heroic endeavors. Krillin’s journey exemplifies his resilience and unwavering dedication to his friends, making him an integral part of the Dragon Ball universe.

Piccolo (ピッコロ, Pikkoro) originates from King Piccolo’s lineage, specifically designed to seek vengeance against Goku following his father’s demise. Initially embodying the “evil half” of Kami, he eventually aligns himself with Goku and his companions when confronted by the Saiyan invaders. In this role, he becomes instrumental in training Goku’s son, Gohan.

Over time, Piccolo’s true nature as a Namekian is unveiled—a green-skinned, hairless humanoid species responsible for the creation of the legendary Dragon Balls. While defending Gohan against the Saiyan warrior Nappa, Piccolo valiantly sacrifices himself, departing to the afterlife where he undergoes training under King Kai. He later returns to the realm of the living through the power of the Namekian Dragon Balls.

Though initially maintaining a partnership with Goku during the encounters with Frieza and the Androids, Piccolo gradually recognizes the value of their alliance. By the time of the Cell and Majin Buu arcs, he fully embraces their status as allies, solidifying his commitment to the greater good. Throughout his journey, Piccolo’s character evolves from a vengeful antagonist to a stalwart defender and mentor, embodying the indomitable spirit of a Namekian warrior.

Son Gohan

Son Gohan (孫悟飯) is the eldest son of Goku and Chi-Chi, making his debut as a four-year-old child. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is kidnapped by Goku’s brother, Raditz, and confined within a space pod. However, fueled by his hidden power, Gohan breaks free from the pod, delivering a significant blow to Raditz before falling unconscious.

Recognizing Gohan’s remarkable potential, Piccolo takes him under his wing, becoming his mentor and training him for a year. Gohan steadily develops into one of the series’ most formidable characters, showcasing his strength during battles against powerful foes like Frieza and ultimately defeating Cell.

Following the Majin Buu arc, Gohan finds love and companionship with Videl, whom he later marries. Their union brings forth a daughter named Pan, adding another generation to the illustrious Saiyan bloodline. Gohan’s journey exemplifies his growth from a timid child to a warrior capable of facing the toughest adversaries and securing a bright future for his family.

Vegeta (ベジータ, Bejīta) stands as the final prince of the mighty Saiyan warrior race, carrying on the proud legacy of his ancestors. His journey begins when he and his comrade Nappa conquer a planet, monitoring Raditz’s battle on Earth through their scouters.

Driven by the desire to possess the Dragon Balls, Vegeta and Nappa set their sights on Earth. There, he engages in an intense fight with the newly resurrected Goku but retreats under relentless attacks from Yajirobe, Krillin, and Gohan. Seeking recovery, Vegeta withdraws temporarily before embarking on a mission to Planet Namek, aiming to claim its Dragon Balls before the tyrant Frieza.

On Namek, Vegeta confronts and eliminates many of Frieza’s henchmen. Eventually, he reluctantly joins forces with Gohan, Goku, Piccolo, and Krillin to confront Frieza himself. After Frieza’s defeat, Vegeta establishes his home on Earth and develops a deep bond with Bulma. Their relationship blossoms, leading to the birth of their son, Trunks.

As the series progresses, Vegeta and Bulma welcome another child, a daughter named Bra (ブラ, Bura), also known as Bulla in the English dub. Unlike her father and brother, despite being half-Saiyan, Bra shows no inclination towards combat and fighting.

Trunks (トランクス, Torankusu) makes his enigmatic debut as a young man, effortlessly defeating Frieza and King Cold before Goku’s return to Earth from Planet Namek. It is eventually revealed that he is the future child of Vegeta and Bulma, who has traveled back in time to warn Goku about the impending threat of the Red Ribbon Androids. In his timeline, these androids have annihilated all other members of the Dragon Team, except for Goku, who succumbed to a heart disease.

The captivating backstory of Trunks is elaborated upon in The History of Trunks television special. He aids in the battle against the Androids and Cell before returning to his own timeline. Trunks later reappears in Dragon Ball Super, seeking assistance from the heroes of the main timeline. Additionally, he appears in Super Dragon Ball Heroes.

Simultaneously, in the series’ main timeline, Trunks is born just as the Androids arrive. By the age of seven, he showcases remarkable power, effortlessly transforming into a Super Saiyan. As a child, he combats Majin Buu and utilizes the fusion technique with his best friend Goten to form the formidable warrior Gotenks (ゴテンクス, Gotenkusu).
