Class Tier Ranking Criteria

  • T0: This is the highest tier in a tier list, reserved for the most powerful or effective options in the game. Characters or strategies in this tier are considered to be essential picks for competitive play and are often banned in tournaments.
  • T1: This tier is just below T0-tier and includes characters or strategies that are still very strong and effective, but not quite as dominant as those in the T0-tier.
  • T2: This tier includes characters or strategies that are considered to be average or balanced in terms of their strength and effectiveness. They may have some strengths and weaknesses, but they are not as dominant as those in the higher tiers.
  • T3: This is the lowest tier in a tier list, reserved for the weakest or least effective options in the game. Characters or strategies in this tier are often considered to be inferior to other options and may be rarely used in competitive play.

It’s important to note that the exact definitions and criteria for each tier can vary depending on the game and the community creating the tier list. Additionally, a character or strategy’s placement in a tier list is not always an accurate reflection of its overall strength or effectiveness, as factors such as player skill and game balance can also play a significant role.

Tiers for the Solasta

If you invest in the craft system of the game, the “Academic” background grants you Arcana and Nature abilities, allowing you to perform all types of crafting in the game. Since Intelligence (INT) is the required attribute for all crafts, you can assign this to your wizard and let them handle the crafting tasks. While the poor wizard works on crafts all evening until morning, the rest of the team can play backgammon and chat.

The Arcaneum faction sells the “Primed” versions of magical items, which are essential for the foundation of enchanted objects. Since finding Primed items in nature is entirely a matter of chance, if you don’t want to leave things to luck, it’s best to maintain a good relationship with Arcaneum from the very beginning.

In the game, some abilities are not necessary, and this is already indicated by the (i) icon in the bottom right corner. If you are creating characters to play in the main storyline and not for diving into mods, you can simply ignore these abilities altogether.

Persuasion/Intimidation/Deception are generally used together in dialogues, while Insight shows which dialogue option has a higher chance of success. Therefore, based on your playstyle, you can choose one or two of the first three skills for different characters and add Insight to them. There’s no need to spend points on all of them. I mention different characters because each character has only one dialogue opportunity in each conversation. So, when one character is lying, the other can try to persuade with kindness; otherwise, one of the dialogue options would be wasted.

History and Religion skills are especially useful in the early stages of the game as they help you make sense of the lore pieces you find. If you’re curious about the game’s story and want a better understanding of what has transpired, then it’s a good idea to invest in these skills. However, if you’re not interested in delving deep into the narrative and just want to breeze through the game, then you can skip them.

Athletics allows you to jump from one place to another without falling and without injuring your knees, and there are many places in the game that require jumping and leaping. It’s a useful skill for warriors and rogues. As for Acrobatics, it’s a sort of ability for maintaining balance, but I haven’t needed it even once in the game.

Survival skill not only helps you find food and crafting materials while roaming the main map but also prevents you from setting up your bed right in the middle of an orc camp and snoring away. You won’t die if you don’t take it (assuming you can wake up quickly enough when an orc axe comes down on your head), but having it on one of your characters can be useful.

Summary

We’ve reached the end of the Solasta Class Tier List. We believe our article has brought you valuable insights. Solasta has truly become a game that must be played without a doubt. While we recommend classes at T0 and T1 levels, we still advise you to try out all the classes. Don’t forget to revisit our article in future updates.
