Shaman

Specializations

Elemental

Meet the Elemental Shaman, a spellcaster who’s all about tapping into the destructive forces of nature and elements. Picture yourself as a powerhouse, blasting and scorching enemies from a safe distance. These wizards of the elements get perks like reduced cooldowns, mana costs, increased crit chances, extended ranges, and boosted damage for many spells. If you’re into dedicated casters with a knack for spell-casting, Elemental Shaman is your calling. They’ve got unique abilities like Thunderstorm, a knockback move famous for tossing foes off high edges in PvP, and Elemental Overload, adding a touch of mastery to their game. If you want to be that ranged damage-dealer maximizing spell damage, Elemental is where it’s at.

Earthquake is a cool ability in their arsenal, not just dishing out damage but also knocking down foes in its area of effect. Combine it with Chain Lightning, and you’re in for some serious AoE mayhem. When it comes to gearing up, prioritize intellect for more spell power, and haste for faster casting. Elemental Shaman – where nature’s wrath meets your gaming strategy!

Enhancement

Now, let’s talk Enhancement Shaman – the totemic warriors who bring elemental power to their melee strikes. Imagine smiting opponents with weapons infused with elemental mojo. This melee damage dealer is no ordinary one – it’s all about active and hectic playstyles. Dual-wielding, triggering extra attacks with Windfury, and hitting with both weapons at once with Stormstrike – that’s the Enhancement Shaman’s playground.

Enhancement Shamans use Maelstrom as their resource instead of mana, generated passively with each auto-attack and actively with Rockbiter. Spend that Maelstrom wisely on abilities like Lava Lash and Crash Lightning. And here’s a fun part – summoning spirit wolves with Feral Spirit, not just boosting DPS but also breaking snares, sprinting, stunning, and taunting enemies. These warriors bond with nature up close, facing adversaries with magically charged weapons and potent elemental attacks. If you’re all about empowering physical attacks with elemental energies, Enhancement Shaman is your jam.

Restoration

Last but not least, meet the Restoration Shaman – the healers who call upon ancestral spirits and the cleansing power of water to patch up allies. Versatile healers fit for any situation, they come loaded with passive abilities that make healing spells quicker, cheaper, and more effective. Plus, they’re not just healers; they offer utility with mana regeneration using Mana Tide Totem and strong multi-target healing through Chain Heal and Healing Rain.

Key abilities include Earth Shield, a long-term buff triggering heals when the target is damaged, and Riptide, an instant cast heal with a heal-over-time effect. Managing Tidal Waves is crucial for a Restoration Shaman – cast Riptide or Chain Heal to get those stacks and enhance your Healing Wave spells. They shine in PvP and group PvE, though solo play might be a tad challenging due to lower damage output. In gearing up, focus on intellect for maximizing healing output and maintaining enough mana regeneration. These shamans find a serene affinity for the restorative properties of water, balancing their command of other elements for harmony in nature. So, if you’re into keeping your squad alive and well, Restoration Shaman is your calling.

Warlock

Specializations

Affliction

Enter the realm of the Affliction Warlock, a master of shadow magic specializing in drains and damage-over-time spells. These warlocks are the connoisseurs of lingering torment, haunting their enemies with a variety of Curses and DoTs. Affliction warlocks can unleash spells like Agony and Corruption to plague their foes over time. Their periodic effects get a boost from their mastery, Potent Afflictions, and their potent artifact weapon. Soul Shards, gained as a secondary resource, become essential for casting certain spells.

Unlike their shadow priest counterparts, who are deadliest on the brink of insanity, Affliction warlocks delight in using fel forces to inflict intense pain and suffering. They revel in corrupting minds and agonizing souls, leaving enemies in a state of torment that slowly undoes them. Even the most battle-hardened warriors can be deceived, landing blow after blow only to succumb to their suffering as their vitality is drained away by the dark spellcaster.

Demonology

Now, let’s delve into the world of the Demonology Warlock, a master of demons harnessing demonic powers to crush foes. These warlocks summon and enslave demons, improving damage and survivability. Demonic mastery empowers minions and grants new demons to command. With a mix of Shadow, Fire, and Chaos damage, Demonology warlocks immolate and corrupt their enemies.

Demons, by their nature, are leeches on the living universe. Demonologists, however, have mastered harnessing the power of these malefic beings on the battlefield. Harvesting the souls of defeated enemies, they tap into the Void, summoning abominations from the chaos of the Twisting Nether. While considered wicked and reckless by outsiders, demonologists maintain absolute control over the summoned creatures. These entities are fully beholden to and empowered by the will of the warlock until banished to the realm from whence they came.

Destruction

Behold the Destruction Warlock, a master of chaos calling down fire to burn and demolish enemies. These warlocks focus on obliterating opponents with fast and powerful direct damage spells. Soul Shards generated by their spells fuel their most potent attacks, dealing splash damage and even restoring health. With impressive abilities like Shadowburn, Havoc, and Chaos Bolt, Destruction warlocks can reduce unprepared opponents to a pile of cinders in no time.

Warlocks wielding the power of destruction favor incantations of pure chaos and aggression in battle. While they share a kinship with fire mages in their love for chaos, their use of detestable magic sets them apart. Destruction warlocks are well-versed in discharging an array of shadow, fel, fire, and chaos magics that rattle souls and conflagrate bodies. Motivated by the thrill of causing havoc, they revel in the destruction they sow, eagerly watching the world erupt in discord around them.

Paladin

Specializations

Holy

Dive into the realm of the Holy Paladin, where the truth and virtue of the Light empower sacred knights to revitalize their comrades. Equipped with plate armor, these resilient healers shine when close to allies, thanks to their Mastery: Lightbringer. Holy Paladins are adept at healing, utilizing specializations like Beacon of Light and Light of Dawn. When the need arises for damage, they wield both ranged and melee Holy attacks, such as Holy Shock and Crusader Strike.

Devout in their faith, these paladins spend their lives studying divine doctrine in hallowed halls. Those who pledge themselves to a holy order become beacons of the Light, donning heavy armor and weaponry in the pursuit of justice. Standing on the frontlines, they believe any battle against evil is righteous, using the power of the Light to rejuvenate and, if necessary, sacrificing themselves as martyrs for the greater good.

Protection

Meet the Protection Paladin, stalwart and steadfast defenders of the Light. Through the Protection specialization, paladins excel at tanking enemies, showcasing rapid threat production and the ability to handle multiple foes simultaneously. With strong stamina scaling, powerful self-healing, and defensive options like Ardent Defender, these paladins prove challenging to defeat, even without a healer by their side.

In their hands, a deadly weapon exacts righteous judgment, while a shield, both symbolic and literal, stands as a barrier against evil. Dedicated to their cause, Protection Paladins consecrate the very ground they battle upon, embodying the unwavering defenders of the Light.

Retribution

Discover the Retribution Paladin, righteous crusaders who judge and punish opponents with weapons and Holy magic. These paladins favor slow two-handed weapons, delivering sudden damage spikes through both melee and spell crits. Single-target attacks like Crusader Strike and Blade of Justice build Holy Power, fueling Templar’s Verdict for regular use or Divine Storm for AoE. In PvP, Retribution paladins, though lacking in mobility, can be potent off-healers, utilizing powerful augments like Avenging Wrath to boost their damage output.

To serve as an instrument of the Light is to hold an unshakable faith, and oftentimes, the most dedicated paladins become fanatical in their devotion. As vengeful guardians of the weak, they act as crusaders, judging and punishing the wicked. With resolute conviction, these paladins ensure that victory is inevitable, fighting to the end to uphold the triumph of the Light.

Hunter

Specializations

Beast Mastery

Welcome to the world of the Beast Mastery Hunter, a master of the wild who forges an unparalleled bond with a diverse array of beasts to aid them in combat. While all hunters value their animal companions, Beast Mastery hunters take this connection to a whole new level. These hunters prioritize their pets, enhancing damage through a plethora of active and passive abilities, as well as their mastery, Master of Beasts. The pets of Beast Mastery hunters boast increased damage, faster focus regeneration, more frequent use of special attacks, and benefit from bonus crits, splash damage, and haste procs. With the most focus among all hunters, BM hunters and their pets share an animal bond contributing to Invigoration. They are the sole hunters attuned to the animal kingdom enough to tame Exotic Beasts, gaining access to some of the most impressive pets in the game.

Among the most gifted hunters are the Beast Masters, who feel a profound bond with the creatures of the wild from birth. Drawn to the perilous primal world, they find home in the primitive landscape and kinship in ferocious predators. Whether in the thrill of the hunt or the heat of battle, Beast Masters summon a litany of vicious animals to overwhelm prey and gnaw at their enemies’ will.

Marksmanship

These hunters specialize in ranged weaponry, honing their skills with guns or bows. Marksmanship hunters significantly enhance the standard hunter’s repertoire of shots, introducing new types of shots and additional effects to others. The powerful abilities Aimed Shot and Chimaera Shot, along with Steady Shot and Multi-Shot, create a devastating synergy of ranged attacks, dealing swift and explosive damage with disorients, bleeds, and even self-healing. Their mastery, Sniper Training, increases damage, range, and critical strike damage when standing still for 3 seconds.

Marksmen immerse themselves in the perils of untamed wilds, perfecting the use of weapons deadliest from great range. Rather than gaining loyalty from beasts, they blend into the environment, observing the behavior of predators and gleaning deadly methods for stalking prey. As snipers in hiding, Marksmanship hunters unleash arrows and bullets with deadly precision, exposing weaknesses in whoever or whatever passes through their crosshairs.

Survival

Embark on the wild journey of the Survival Hunter, a rugged tracker favoring the use of animal venom, explosives, and traps as deadly weapons in chaotic melee combat. These hunters excel in the midst of fang and claw, wielding a spear and fighting alongside a loyal friend. Mastering the chaos of melee combat, Survival Hunters use traps in close quarters, tearing bleeding holes in their enemies with their weapon. Coordinating with their pet, they flank the foe while one has their attention. With powerful Mongoose Bites, Survival Hunters ramp up their damage, further strengthened by their mastery, Hunting Companion.

While all hunters feel a calling to the wild, Survival Hunters serve as a reflection of its brutality. To them, the hunt is defined by unrelenting ferocity, where survival means facing enemies eye-to-eye, always accompanied by merciless bloodshed. Abandoning weapons of great range for close-quarters combat, Survival hunters are instinctive and crafty on the prowl, employing loyal beasts and deceptive traps to see their enemies undone. For these hunters, understanding survival means becoming familiar with the cruel face of death.

Similar to rogues, Feral druids use energy to fuel their attacks and combo points to execute deadly finishing moves. Often affectionately called “Cat,” “Kitten,” or “Kitty,” these nicknames belie the formidable ferocity of Feral druids.

In the pursuit of understanding the cycle of life, Feral druids become ferocious, agile stalkers, embodying the relentless ferocity of nature. Shapeshifting into the form of a deadly feline predator, they rip, bite, and bleed enemies dry, taming the forces of chaos with their primal fury.

Similar to Protection warriors, Guardian druids use rage to fuel their abilities, transforming their rage into health with Frenzied Regeneration. Enhanced with Thick Hide, Guardian druids become formidable tanks, often known simply as “Bears.”

Attuned to nature through the animal kingdom, Guardian druids commune with the wild to understand survival and protection. They recognize the value of sturdiness and take an aggressive stance when danger looms, transforming into a massive wall of fur, claw, tooth, and rage in the form of a great bear.
